Yes the FSAI have real limitations sometimes and its very frustrating that the chancers involved in selling us fake cod and other fish are currently going to get nothing more than a verbal warning. The FSAI also admitted to me that chasing them through the courts is a costly and untimately unsatisfactory experience as the penalities are so low. Fine Gael had mentioned re jigging the FSAI, department of Ag etc so we'll see if Simon Coveney makes any changes or improvements to the way the system is currently run.suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06688359157849015354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-770213180755051769.post-36577380660805314982011-04-19T09:40:30.810-07:002011-04-19T09:40:30.810-07:00I think that there is a serious issue with the Fo...I think that there is a serious issue with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. I would dearly love to read their terms of reference AND any subsequent directives emanating from Ministerial offices.<br />I also wish someone could answer me how if we have a Food Safety Authority of Ireland that the huge proportion of the population genetically unable to digest lactose have to endure the agonies caused when it is sprayed and injected into most processed food, from bread to bacon.Vincehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09442327549417743472noreply@blogger.com
